Using A Medical Panel

What is it?
A Medical panel is a list of a minimum of 6 medical providers, at least 3 of which must be physicians.
Why should you use it?
Posting a panel allows you to require employees to treat with providers of your choice for the first 90 days of treatment for a work injury. You have the opportunity to designate providers who are committed to providing quality, cost-effective care.
How do you enforce it?
Document that your employees have been told about their rights and duties by providing them with a copy of the Employee Acknowledgment of Rights and Duties.
When?
Employees must sign the Acknowledgment Form when you first implement the panel and again after they have an injury. Keep both copies in your files.
